Payment & Security

Paying for your order should be simple and safe. Here is what you can pay with, how your details are handled, and when you are charged.

The options can vary by country and order. Checkout shows the ones available for yours. Apple Pay and Google Pay appear on supported devices and browsers.

A secure checkout

Checkout runs on Shopify's hosted checkout. Shopify is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant. PCI DSS is the card industry's security standard for handling card payments.

  • Card details are encrypted and handled by the payment processor.
  • Wolf & Coat never sees or stores your full card number.
  • Information sent through the site is protected with SSL encryption in transit.

Never send card details by email. If you have a question about a payment, your order number is enough for us to find it.

Currency

Prices are in US dollars (USD) in the United States and in Canadian dollars (CAD) in Canada, depending on your location. Checkout shows the currency for your order before you pay.

If your card is issued in a different currency, any conversion is handled by your bank or card provider under its own terms.

Free shipping thresholds are set in the same currencies: $100 USD or more in the United States, and $200 CAD or more in Canada. Our Shipping Policy explains how the threshold is counted.

When you are charged

Payment is collected at checkout, when you place your order. The charge covers your full order total, including tax and shipping.

If you choose Klarna, Klarna's own terms set how and when you pay.

An order is accepted when we send your confirmation or ship it. In some cases we may decline or cancel an order, for example because of a payment problem or suspected fraud. Our Terms of Service set this out in full.

Refunds go back to your original payment method. See Returns & Exchanges for how and when.

Taxes and import charges

Your order total at checkout includes any tax charged on the order, so you see it before you pay.

If you have a question about taxes or import charges for your address, email us before you order.

If a payment does not go through

Check that your card details and billing address match what your bank has on file, then try again or choose another payment method. If it still fails, your bank or card provider can tell you why. You can also email us and we will help where we can.
